Choosing a property type
Claybricks has two genuinely different ways of managing a property — pick based on what you're actually collecting money for.
Bed-level occupancy — a room has one or more beds, each bed holds one tenant, rent is billed per bed. Built for hostel-style/paying-guest accommodation with shared rooms.
Unit-level leases — a unit (flat, villa, studio) is leased whole to one tenant, with its own electricity/water meters billed alongside rent. Built for independent houses, flats, or villas rented out as a whole.
Dues-based, not rent-based — sites/plots/flats are owned, not rented, and each owner pays a recurring maintenance amount you set. No tenants, no leases — just owners, dues, and reminders. Built for managing a residential layout, apartment complex, or society on behalf of its owners.
